Brands/Company Names Inspired by the Greek and Roman Mythology

If I have to recall the previous lessons I had listened and studied, one of the most important things to form a business is for the owner to think of a company name. Of course, we have to give names in order to be recognized and remembered. We can't just say: "Oh, there's that one shop that I really like." There are other shops around the world and it would be too much of a hassle to look around just to remember that shop you like, right? That's why businessmen give names for their businesses--it's like naming a baby. It has to be simple, unique and memorable at the same time.      Names that are created are mostly inspired and have a special meaning behind it. One of the inspirations that I found out that most businessmen use are coming from Mythology. In this blog, I will list down a few of the company names that I had stumbled or researched upon that are greatly inspired by Mythology. (Note: There are also logos inspired heavily by Myth...

PARDO NIGHT

11/15, Team Trash Talk, soaked from the rain. It was memorable. (Photo credits: Cymmer Bacalso)

As the night dawned over to the hustling city in Cebu, rain began to pour heavily. There were two events that happened on that day (September 17, 2016) and Pardo Night is the second event that had happened on that day. To be honest, it was my first time to attend such event. Years back, I used to say ‘I’ll pass’ but in this year I changed my mind and decided to go for it to have fun. Another reason why I had attended was because I was one of the performers in our Filipino presentation (in which our section had won).

So my squad and I decided to invite over our friends who transferred from other schools and meet up in 7/11. After we had gathered in the store, we all went to the gym of the Pardo Church all wet from the rain (we should’ve listened or checked the weather in our phones—we were all soaked!) and waited for the others to come.

It was definitely a night to remember.

There were other vendors who came inside the gym who sold their goods ( I bought peanuts and water) and there were old students who came and watched with their parents. It was a little reunion for us.

The performances from the other students are beyond me. They are all talented and showcased all of it in that night.

In our presentation, we performed of what we practiced and even if we had slight difficulties, the night was a success.

Unfortunately, I went home minutes after my performance since my father just came home from abroad but it was still a night to remember and cherish.
